A heat warning for much of southern Ontario continues today, with a humidex that will make it feel as high as 43 C in some regions.
Environment Canada says the multi-day heat event that began Sunday will have daytime temperatures ranging between 30 to 33 C.
The weather agency says nighttime low temperatures will be around 19 to 21 C, providing little relief from the blistering heat.
It says the heat is expected to last through to Tuesday evening, with the hottest conditions expected today.
The heat warning covers all parts of southern Ontario, from along Lake Erie and Lake Ontario to Cornwall in the east.
The weather agency advises people to drink plenty of water and watch for signs of heat exhaustion, including dizziness and intense fatigue.
