Powell River RCMP constable Pete Gaiger [centre with bike raised] led fellow 2018 Cops for Cancer Tour De Coast participants into town on Friday, September 21, on day three of the annual nine-day event that raises awareness and funds for cancer research.
The tour, which began in Vancouver two days earlier, followed a route through the Sechelt Peninsula before riders tackled the streets of Powell River.
Riders enjoyed a spaghetti dinner and fundraising event attended by a large crowd that night at Town Centre Hotel before resting up for the rest of the tour, which visits Squamish, Whistler and several Lower Mainland cities before winding up in Richmond on Thursday, September 27.
