Powell River Tim Hortons sells record number of Smile Cookies

ALL SMILES: $5689 worth of Smile Cookies were sold at Tim Hortons in Powell River during the Canadian restaurant chain’s recent campaign supporting local charities; the total was a record for Powell River.

On hand for a cheque presentation to Powell River and District United Way executive director Dale Lawson [centre] were local Tim Hortons store owner Lisa Giesbrecht [left] and manager Reymer Mecadio.

The local team also sold more cookies than their counterparts in other communities, earning staff some rewards from their corporate office.
