MacGregor Avenue and City of Powell River’s MacGregor Building are named in his honour.

The ceremony in Scotland took place 100 years to the day from when MacGregor fought in the Battle of the Canal du Nord at Cambrai, France, in which he was awarded the Victoria Cross for his bravery and leadership.
