Sunshine Coast weather: 20 degrees C by Friday?

It's not a typo!  Weatherhood is calling for daytime high temperatures of 16 degrees C  in Sechelt today, April 23, with the mercury on the rise tomorrow through Friday, when it is forecast to reach a balmy 20 degrees. Its call is for some cloud today, full-on sun for Thursday and a mix of sun and cloud Friday and through the weekend. 

The overnight lows will dip to 4 degrees tonight according to Environment Canada. Cool night and early morning thermometer readings, below 7 degrees, are slated for the lower Sunshine Coast up to April 28, when cloudy skies (and moderated overnight lows) are forecast to return.

The national weather service's quoted average daytime high for today is 15 degrees and the average low is 6.
