Is it going to be a dry weekend on the lower Sunshine Coast? It depends on which weather authority you consult.
Environment Canada says "yes". Its website shows seven days with no rain icons included. For today, it is calling for mainly sunny skies and daytime high temperatures of 15 degrees C. Although some clouds are predicted to be with us over the coming week, temperatures are to stay in the high teens, with overnight lows staying at 8 degrees or above.
Over at Weatherhood showers are anticipated for Saturday, Sunday and at the start of next week. On the weekend days, accumulations are expected to be limited to the 2 to 3 millimetre range.
Winds in our area are anticipated to continue today on the 10 kilometre per hour (km/h) range. Yesterday, Gibsons was identified as the location with the highest winds in the Weatherhood network, peaking at 11 km/h.
