Powell River Health-Care Auxiliary has given $10,000 of proceeds from its economy shop to the Powell River and District United Way’s Danielle’s Helping Hand, which is a one-time emergency fund for low-income people for medical and dental expenses, or help with rent payments.

Members of both organizations were on hand for the recent cheque presentation.
