Christmas Eve

Everett Currie, Grade 1
Edgehill Elementary School

Once upon a time I was going to bed on Christmas Eve.

I had to brush my teeth and wash my face and get into my hockey jammies. And when I was sleeping, I heard a sound and it sounded like footsteps on my roof and I heard something chomping on carrots and then I heard somebody going down the chimney.

I thought it was Santa. And just then I heard Santa going “HO HO HO” and then I couldn’t get back to sleep so I went to see what was happening. And then I saw Santa putting presents under my tree.

Then my mom woke up and she said: “Go back to sleep.”

Then I went to sleep. Then I woke up and I found Santa still putting presents under my tree. And then I said hi to Santa and he said hi back to me.

And my sister Farrah said to me: “I am too scared so I am going to go and get mommy and daddy to look at Santa with me.”

Then she got my mom and dad and then we went and opened our presents and then we went and ate breakfast.
