Give a smile

Once upon a time, there were three brothers who were celebrating Christmas. Their names were Jonathan, the youngest; Dominic, the middle one; and Jeffrey, the eldest. Dominic and Jeffrey both asked Santa for a gift, while Jonathan realized something was missing from their family Christmas. He thought about it, and then, in his letter to Santa, he wrote:
Dear Santa,
Every year since I was born, I have celebrated Christmas. I suddenly came to the realization that there is something missing. I look at my family, and I see that there are no smiles. Can you please tell me how to make people smile?
Sincerely, Jonathan Smith.
He got up early on Christmas morning, eager to find out what Santa had answered. He went downstairs and glanced underneath the Christmas tree in the living room. Under the tree, he found his present amongst the ones of his brother. He received a letter and a Christmas present. He opened the letter first. It stated the following:
Dear Jonathan,
You realized the truth, that indeed the world is missing smiles. To make your kin smile, help them, smile at them, spend time with them and take pictures of them, so that you can remember the past and smile at it. Attached to this letter, I will give you a gift that will help you and your kin remember each other and smile.
Truly, Santa Claus, North Pole.
He then opened his present, which was a photo camera.
