In memoriam: Philip C. MacMillan

November 17, 1931 - August 15, 2022
MacMillan

It is with great sadness that the family of Philip Currie MacMillan announces his passing at the age of 90 on August 15, 2022.

Phil was born in Kilmarnock, Scotland, on November 17, 1931. He had many passions - his love of pipe band drumming led him and his family to Powell River in 1966, where he worked as a sheet metal mechanic for 28 years. He loved his motorcycles and was most proud of racing at the Isle of Man in 1959.

If he wasn’t on his bike, he could be found at the pool doing his 40 laps. Special thanks to the staff at Powell River Recreation Complex.

Phil couldn’t have pursued his passions without the love and support of his wife of 57 years, Catherine; she was his everything.

Phil was predeceased by Catherine and is survived by sons Bruce (Lorna) and Stuart (Kim) and grandchildren Kelsey and Curtis (Natasha).

Special thanks to the staff at ECU, Willingdon Creek and Dr. Rossouw.

No flowers or service by request.
