So long, 2021, it’s been a year for the books; good riddance. As we welcome 2022, it is my hope that we can experience unprecedented happiness, connection and joy.

We’ve been through a lot over the past year, and it’s been exhausting for many, to say the least. Before we can wrap up 2021, we need to pause for a moment to acknowledge and appreciate the respective contributions we’ve each made to get through another difficult year.

Take a moment to reflect and celebrate how far we’ve come and to remind each other that although it’s been bumpy, we’re still here to support each other. We are proud to have found a way to keep students in school and create a new normal where students can be with each other and live, learn and play with their friends.

Our students, parents and staff continue to demonstrate their commitment to working together to overcome barriers to success.

On behalf of your board of education: Doug Skinner, Rob Hill, Jaclyn Miller and Brendan Behan, I want to thank everyone who has worked tirelessly to make sure our schools operated as safely as possible and continue to work together to emerge from this pandemic as strong as possible.

As we celebrate the arrival of 2022, we wish you a Happy New Year filled with love, positivity, and success.
