qathet regional Cycling Association members were also on hand as participants tested their cycling skills

On a sunny Sunday, June 4, the Rotary Club of Powell River hosted another successful bike rodeo in the First Credit Union parking lot. This year’s event drew a large crowd with more than 100 enthusiastic bike riders of various ages learning and testing their cycling skills.

Participants rode through a series of stations with volunteer Rotarians guiding the way, while qathet Regional Cycling Association members were on hand checking helmets for proper fit and adding air to low tires. First aid attendants, RCMP and firefighters were also on site, and Domino’s Pizza staff offered free pizza for the kids.

Every participant received a prize and 15 new bikes were presented to lucky winners.
