On behalf of the qathet Regional District Board of Directors, I offer my congratulations to the graduating class of 2022. We are incredibly proud of all you have achieved and of the talented individuals you have become.
As we continue to face the global effects of COVID-19, it is understandable to feel discouraged and unsure of how to move forward or even where to begin. The best place to start is from within. Author Aldous Huxley aptly stated, “There is only one corner of the universe you can be certain of improving, and that’s your own self.”
It is in these challenging times that you will find yourself and build resilience. I encourage you to see today’s uncertainty as an opportunity to find innovative ways to do things differently. You are poised in a unique and powerful position to change the world by improving yourself, each and every day.
Looking forward toward the next stages of your lives, I encourage you to remember your history, listen to your heart, and trust yourself. Whatever you choose to do and wherever you choose to go, your community is beside you, every step of the way.
