Don Skonberg, the 62-year-old pedestrian who was struck by an SUV on Joyce Avenue, Monday, March 17, has died.
Powell River RCMP Constable Tim Kenning confirmed that Skonberg succumbed to his injuries Wednesday evening. Both Skonberg's wife and the driver of the vehicle that hit him have been notified. Kenning added that the police are continuing their investigation and alcohol has been ruled out as a factor.
Skonberg and his wife moved to Powell River in 2010.
