UPDATED: BC Ferries cancels more sailings between Westview (Powell River), Little River (Comox) and Blubber Bay (Texada)

Storm continues to wreak havoc on several routes along the south coast and Vancouver Island

BC Ferries has announced the cancellation of another return trip between Little River (Comox) and Westview (Powell River) terminals.

The 3:25 sailing from Little River and 5:15 return trip from Powell River on October 25 will not run due to adverse weather conditions.

Earlier Salish Orca crossings for the route had already been cancelled, including the 6:15 am departing Little River; 8:05 am departing Westview ; 9:55 am departing Little River; and 11:50 am departing Westview.

All scheduled sailings between Blubber Bay (Texada Island) and Westview terminals on October 25 have also been cancelled, up to and including the 5:05 pm departure from Blubber Bay and the 6 pm return from Powell River. Island Discovery has been holding in the terminal all day.

Routes connecting Vancouver Island with the Lower Mainland from Nanaimo and Victoria has also been affected by cancellations due to the storm.

Routes between Powell River and Sechelt, and Langdale to Horseshoe Bay have continued in regular operation.
