British Columbians aren’t shy about voicing their opinions on time.

More than 158,000 residents have responded to a B.C. government survey, launched last week to ask whether daylight savings time should be scrapped – exceeding previous response rates.

For comparison, less than 20,000 responses were received in the first week following the launch of the public engagement on cannabis regulations.

“It’s clear that there is no shortage of views on how we should observe time in British Columbia,” said Premier John Horgan.

“I’m very pleased so many people have already taken part in this engagement to help determine the best way forward for B.C., and I encourage everyone to take the survey to let us know what they think.”

The time-change survey, which can be found online at Engage.Gov.BC.ca/DaylightSavingTime, will be available until 4 p.m. on July 19.

In addition to the online survey, residents are also encouraged to provide written submissions to [email protected] on time observance.
