BC Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) reported two COVID-19 cases in the Powell River local health area from August 8 to 14.
From August 1 to 7, four cases were reported in the area.
In each of the previous two reporting periods (July 25 to 31, and July 18 to 24), one case was reported.
The first 17 days of July resulted in no coronavirus cases.
The cumulative total of positive COVID-19 cases for the local health area from January 2020 through July 2021 is 97, according to BCCDC.
