City of Powell River Council has announced a lease agreement with Mill Town Transport Ltd for the city’s vacant property located at 4474 Franklin Street.
According to a rise and report at the July 21 city council meeting, the lease agreement with the company is for a three-year term beginning on August 1, at a cost of $5,270.65 per annum, plus GST.
City councillor Maggie Hathaway said this was an agreement the city entered into during a closed meeting for storage of trucks.
“It’s a good agreement for a piece of property that is superfluous to our needs at the moment and we receive some income from it,” added Hathaway.
