At the City of Powell River Council meeting on June 2, councillors reallocated money from one city fund to two others.
Council approved the transfer of $1,206,024 from the water operating fund, allocated $407,516 to the general operating fund and $798,508 more to the sewer operating fund.
City councillor George Doubt said as was discussed at the May 26 finance committee meeting, this is simply a reallocation from one operating fund to another to make sure the funds are in the places they are going to be needed to maintain those systems.
