7100 block Nootka Street
Over the past week a garage door (which had previously been repaired) was vandalized at an educational facility. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to please contact Powell River RCMP 604.485.6255 or CrimeStoppers at 1.800.222.8477 (TIPS).
2. April 22
Fernwood Avenue and Barnet Street
A vehicle stop was conducted. The male driver was found to have no driver’s licence as well as being impaired by alcohol. As a result the vehicle was impounded for a minimum of 30 days and the driver faces significant fines under the Motor Vehicle Act as well as potential criminal charges for driving under the influence.
