4500 Joyce Avenue

Police received a report that sometime over the weekend persons unknown had cut off a lock to a secure storage trailer at location. Culprits then took a 25-foot aluminum extension ladder and various glass cups and plates were taken. The ladder was subsequently recovered. Minor damage was incurred to the storage locker. The file remains under investigation.

March 28

Willingdon Beach

Police on routine patrol observed an older model Oldsmobile sedan parked at location occupied by two males. The driver of the vehicle was observed smoking what appeared to be a marijuana cigarette. The 17-year-old male driver from Powell River exhibited symptoms of being drug impaired and his driver’s licence was suspended for 24 hours. A small bag of marijuana was also seized from the vehicle. Further charges are not being considered at this time.

March 30

6900 block Invermere Court

Police received a report that an unlocked older Ford Explorer had been entered at location by persons unknown. The removable centre console was taken from the vehicle and recovered a short distance away. Insurance papers containing personal information were taken. There are no suspects or witnesses at this time.

April 3

4400 block Franklin Avenue

Police received a report of five wooden pallets being stolen from location. The pallets are identifiable as they are spray-painted with "SSD." The value of the pallets is less than $500. There are no suspects or witnesses at this time.
