1. December 14

4500 block Willingdon Avenue

Police responded to a report of an intoxicated male. Police attended and located the 52-year-old male nearby. The male showed signs of serious intoxication, and was arrested for being intoxicated in public. He was taken to cells and released the next morning when he had sobered up.

2. December 15

Valentine Mountain

Police on patrol checked a vehicle in the parking lot. After speaking with the 23-year-old male inside the car, it was determined that he had smoked marijuana and his ability to drive was impaired. The driver was issued a 24-hour driving prohibition under the Motor Vehicle Act and his vehicle was towed.

3. December 15

Willingdon Avenue

Police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle. The vehicle, a 1992 Toyota Paseo, was stolen between 9:30 pm on December 14 and 3:35 pm on December 15. The vehicle was reportedly locked when it was parked at that location. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to please contact Powell River RCMP 604.485.6255 or CrimeStoppers at 1.800.222.8477 (TIPS).
