4400 block Marine Avenue
At 9:45 pm, Powell River RCMP were conducting a check of a licensed premise. A 25-year-old Powell River man was approached by police due to his level of intoxication. During this interaction a small amount of cocaine was found on the male’s person. The individual is now facing charges of possession of a controlled substance and will appear in court in February.
2. December 18
3800 block Gordon Avenue
At approximately 1:45 am police responded to a vehicle fire. Upon arrival a box of a 2011 Ford Ranger was fully engulfed in flames. Powell River Fire Rescue attended and extinguished the fire but not before it caused $5,000 in damages. RCMP are asking for the public’s help.
