1. January 28

5600 block Manson Avenue

A vehicle collided with a legally parked truck. After speaking to the driver it was determined his ability was impaired and as a result his driver’s licence was suspended for 24 hours.

2. January 29

7000 block Duncan Street

A male was caught in the act while spray-painting the side of a provincial service building. Further investigation found that the same young male was also responsible for spray-painting a school on Michigan Avenue. The youth is facing possible Criminal Code charges of mischief under $5,000.

3. January 31

Joyce Avenue at Barnet Street

A black Ford Bronco flipped on its side while turning left onto Joyce. There were no injuries and the vehicle was still drivable once it was flipped back onto its tires.

4. February 1

7000 block Glacier Street

Powell River RCMP assisted local paramedics with a male who was possibly overdosing on drugs. Approximately 50 grams of cocaine was observed and seized. The male was transported to Powell River General Hospital for further treatment. It is believed the cocaine was destined to be sold within the community.
