1. January 6

5100 block Highway 101

A traffic stop was conducted after an older Ford pickup truck was observed weaving within the driving lane and braking unnecessarily. After providing two breath samples, both resulting in a warn reading, the driver’s licence was seized for three days.

2. January 10

5400 block Willow Avenue

An unoccupied vehicle with its engine running was accidentally left in gear. The vehicle rolled from a daycare, across Hemlock Street and continued northbound on Willow Avenue before it collided with another vehicle then stopped after hitting a retaining wall. Luckily nobody was hurt.

3. January 11

Joyce Avenue at Massett Street

A traffic stop was conducted after a vehicle was observed weaving along the road. As a result it was determined the driver was impaired by medication and the driver’s licence was seized for a period of 24 hours.
