1. January 13

4600 block Marine Avenue

A small burgundy truck was keyed. The damage to the passenger side door occurred between 10:30 and 11:15 am. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to please contact Powell River RCMP 604.485.6255 or call CrimeStoppers 1.800.222.8477 (TIPS).

2. January 15

Joyce Avenue and Nootka Street

A small blue sedan was stopped by police for being driven at night without any headlights on. The driver displayed signs of alcohol consumption and subsequently provided two breath samples, both of which indicated the driver had alcohol in his system. His driver’s licence was removed for three days.

3. January 15 and 16

3900 and 4000 block Selkirk Avenue

Overnight two vehicles were entered in the 3900 block of Selkirk Avenue and a third vehicle was entered in the 4000 block. In two circumstances loose change was taken and in the other an iPod was taken. This is a reminder to Powell River residents to lock their vehicles and ensure no valuables are left inside.
