Burnaby Street and Joyce Avenue
Police responded to a report of an impaired driver. The vehicle was located and stopped by police. The 66-year-old male driver showed signs of impairment and provided a breath sample that registered a “fail.” The driver was issued a 90-day driving prohibition and a 30-day vehicle impound under the Motor Vehicle Act.
2. July 1
5000 block Joyce Avenue
Police responded to a complaint of theft. Sometime between 11 pm on June 29 and 10 am on June 30, someone entered a storage room at that location and stole a number of music-related items and instruments (including a bass trombone and harp strings) valued in excess of $8,000.
