1. November 17
7100 block Alberni Street
A male attended a store and picked up a bottle of vodka, concealed it inside his jacket, then left without paying. The suspect was identified via the store’s video surveillance system and now faces the Criminal Code charge of Theft Under $5,000.
2. November 17
9300 block Highway 101
A restaurant was broken into. The business sustained damage to a door, various cabinets and a safe and an undisclosed amount of cash was stolen.
3. November 18
7000 block Westminster Street
A restaurant was damaged. It appears someone attempted to break into the business via a locked door but was unable to get inside. The business sustained minor damage to a door frame.

5900 block Arbutus Avenue
A business was broken into. The business was rummaged through but luckily nothing of significant value was stolen.
This is a reminder to residents and business owners to secure property, activate alarm systems, and utilize video surveillance. If possible, remove anything of value to help deter a potential criminal.
5. November 19
7100 block Alberni Street
A female entered a store, filled up a shopping cart with almost $600 worth of groceries and walked out without paying. An employee noticed the theft and alerted the police. The culprit was arrested for the theft and was released from police custody after being scheduled to appear in court. The suspect was banned from the store.

4200 block Marine Avenue
