1. Between October 10 and 14

4600 block Joyce Avenue

Police received a report of vandalism to a business. It was determined that sometime between October 10 and 14, someone had thrown a rock through the front window but no entry was gained. Police have no suspects. 2. October 17

A motorcyclist was stopped and it was determined the licence plate on the bike was stolen. During the course of this investigation a search warrant was executed. The search resulted in the seizure of a large quantity of illicit drugs including heroin and cocaine, the latter in both rock and powder state, and an undisclosed amount of cash. The total street value of the drugs is estimated to be approximately $38,000. Donald Arthur Marriot, age 23 from Coquitlam, BC, has been charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of stolen property. He will appear in Powell River Provincial Court this week.
