An out-of-country field trip proposal has been approved in principle by Powell River Board of Education.
The trip is planned to take a group of about 30 Brooks Secondary School students on a trip from Switzerland to Italy during spring break 2024. There are plans to raise funds through such activities as garage, meat and healthy pizza sales.
The trip proposes to take students to the Swiss cities of Zurich and Lucerne, and the Italian cities of Venice, Florence, Assisi and Rome.
The announcement was made at the School District 47 meeting September 14.
