BC Ferries has cancelled two Queen of Coquitlam sailings Tuesday evening between Horseshoe Bay and the Sunshine Coast because of delays earlier in the day.
The 1 p.m. Queen of Coquitlam sailing from Horseshoe Bay to Nanaimo departed 120 minutes behind schedule because of a passenger medical emergency Tuesday. In a service notice issued at 2 p.m., the ferry service said that the ferry was returning to Horseshoe Bay as the passenger required immediate attention.
Because of the delay, BC Ferries has cancelled:
- 5:30 p.m. departing Horseshoe Bay (Vancouver) to Langdale (Sunshine Coast)
- 6:40 p.m. departing Langdale (Sunshine Coast) to Horseshoe Bay (Vancouver)
"Other sailings on these routes are expected to proceed as scheduled," said the service notice.
