Tools stolen from City of Powell River's wastewater treatment plant

RCMP ask the public for information about theft at job site

A thief, or thieves, stole items from the consolidated wastewater treatment plant job site in Townsite, which is under construction.

At 10:55 am on May 22, Powell River RCMP received a report of theft from the job site of the city's consolidated wastewater treatment plant in Townsite.

Unknown suspect(s) used bolt cutters to access a sea-can and stole a Husqvarna 390XP 42-inch bar chainsaw and a Milwaukee cordless impact drill.

Powell River RCMP reported 97 total calls for service from May 18 to 24, including nine thefts, two for impaired driving, four assaults, one for mischief and five related to mental health.
