Powell River RCMP reported the following for May 11 to 17, 2022.

Thefts: 3
Impaired driving: 4
Assaults: 3
Mischief: 2
Mental health: 2

May 12; Zilinsky Road, 2900 block
At 11:49 am, police responded to a theft of farm equipment. Three galvanized agricultural troughs valued at $1,200 were missing from the property in the last week. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Powell River RCMP. File number is 2022-2081.

May 12; Ontario Avenue/Duncan Street
RCMP received multiple reports of vehicles having their tires slashed between May 5 and May 12. Vehicles in the 4800 block of Ontario Avenue and 7100 block of Duncan Street were affected. Police file numbers are 2022-2084 and 2022-2085.

May 12; Manson Avenue
At approximately 2:30 am, police on patrol observed a grey Honda driving on Manson Avenue; the vehicle was weaving in the lane. Police initiated a traffic stop and observed an odor of liquor on the driver’s breath. The driver admitted to consuming wine earlier in the evening and provided two roadside breath samples that resulted in a warning. The driver was issued an immediate roadside prohibition for three days under the Motor Vehicle Act.
