Police patrol: Powell River crime report

Powell River RCMP reported the following for October 25 to October 31, 2018

October 30; Emmonds Road, 8100 block
At approximately 7 pm, members of the RCMP responded to a report of a theft from a vehicle. The complainant advised that a black pickup truck pulled up to his vehicle, stopped and then sped off quickly. When the vehicle was checked a short time later, it was found that a wallet containing $200 to $300 in cash and credit cards were stolen.

October 30; Padgett Road
At approximately 1:55 am, members of the Powell River RCMP responded to a report of a suspicious male, who was located a short time later in a field in the area. The male was identified as being on a probation order, which included a curfew condition.  After a short altercation, the male was arrested and lodged in cells. The 38-year-old is currently in custody and will be appearing in court in Courtenay, BC.
