Powell River RCMP reported the following for December 13 to December 19, 2018.

December 15; Cranberry Street, 6700 block
At approximately 6:24 pm, police responded to a theft report. Sometime during the previous night, fuel was syphoned from a vehicle parked at that location.

December 15; Texada Island-Powell River ferry
At approximately 3:35 pm, RCMP responded to a report of a possible impaired driver on the North Island Princess. Police attended and the vehicle was located on the ferry. The 32-year-old male in the vehicle showed signs of impairment and a breath sample was taken, which registered a “fail.” The man was issued a 90-day driving prohibition and a 30-day vehicle impound for a violation under the Motor Vehicle Act.

December 17; Joyce Avenue, 4400 block
At approximately 12:18 am, police responded to an assault. A female was walking on Joyce Avenue when an unknown male came up behind her and hit her on the shoulder. The suspect was dressed all in black and ran southbound on Joyce.
