Powell River RCMP responded to 155 total calls for service from May 7 to 14, including 12 thefts, one for impaired driving, one for break and enter, six about assaults, eight cases of mischief and three related to mental health.

May 12
At approximately 8:59 am, Powell River RCMP responded to a report of a theft from a vehicle that occurred in the 6900 block of Invermere Court on May 9. A radio, binoculars, wallet and rangefinder valued at more than $500 were taken from inside the vehicle.

May 10
At approximately 4:05 pm, Powell River RCMP were making patrols in the area of Joyce Avenue and Crofton Street when they located an electric scooter stashed behind a large propane tank in the Carlson Community Club parking lot. The scooter was seized by police, as there was no one around and they were concerned it would be stolen. Records checks were completed, and the scooter was never reported as stolen.
