Powell River RCMP responded to 132 total calls for service from July 30 to August 5, including six thefts, one break and enter, five for impaired driving, four about assaults, nine cases of mischief and six related to mental health.

July 15
Police responded to a report of a theft that occurred at Canadian Tire on Joyce Avenue. The suspect had allegedly taken items from the store and left without paying. The suspect was identified by store staff and police. Approximately three hours later, police were conducting patrols on Joyce Avenue and located the suspect pushing a stolen bicycle and carrying bags containing several items that were believed to be stolen. The suspect was arrested for theft and later released to appear in court. The bicycle was returned to the owner by police.

July 14
An Apple iPhone was found on Mt. Mahony and has not yet been claimed. Call Powell River RCMP at 604.485.6255 with a description of the phone to claim it.

June 5
A ring containing a set of vehicle and house keys was turned into the Powell River RCMP detachment and has not yet been claimed. Call Powell River RCMP at 604.485.6255 with a description of the key ring to claim it.
