Powell River RCMP reported the following for November 18 to 24, 2021.

Total calls for service: 98
Thefts: 5
Impaired driving: 3 
Mischief: 8
Assaults: 3 

November 18; Warner Street, 7100 block
At approximately 1:46 pm, police responded to a report of a motorcycle theft. A green 1999 Yamaha Roadstar 1800 was stolen from the front yard of a residence. It is believed the theft occurred sometime between November 16 and 18.

November 23; Highway 101, 7600 block
At approximately 3:30 pm, police responded to a mischief complaint. A black BMW was seen doing doughnuts in the fuel yard at Sunshine Coast Fuels. No plate was obtained, but the vehicle was captured on video surveillance. Cost to repair the damage is estimated to be $3,500.

November 23; Joyce Avenue, 4200 block
At approximately 5:42 pm, police responded to a report of a vehicle collision at a parking lot. A grey GMC pickup truck collided with a glass bus stop. Police attended and located the driver of the vehicle, a 44-year-old female from Powell River, passed out in the driver’s seat. The driver was spoken to by police and showed further signs of impairment. A drug recognition examination was completed and the driver was issued a driving prohibition.
