Powell River RCMP reported the following for November 9 to 15, 2022.

Total calls for service: 97
Thefts: 6
Break and enter: 1
Impaired driving: 4
Assaults: 1
Mischief: 1
Mental health: 9

November 12; Marine Avenue
At approximately 2:30 am, police were conducting patrols and observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed. A traffic stop was conducted and police observed a large blue bin and three large coolers in the rear of the vehicle that were full of oysters.

After investigation, police discovered that the passengers of the vehicle had been harvesting oysters from an Okeover beach and were well over the legal limit. The group was directed to return the oysters to Okeover and a report was sent to Fisheries and Oceans Canada for follow up and enforcement.
