Officers reported the following for April 20 to 26, 2023

Thefts: 8
Break and enter: 0
Impaired driving: 7
Assaults: 2
Mischief: 8
Mental health: 3

April 21; Ontario Avenue, 4800 block
At approximately 12:21 pm, police responded to a report of a theft from a vehicle. Between 10:30 am and 12:20 pm on the same day, someone entered a vehicle parked at that location and stole Save-On-Foods and Walmart gift cards valued at $80.

April 21; Cranberry Street
At approximately 6:38 pm, police were making patrols on Cranberry Street when a vehicle was observed driving in the opposite lane. RCMP recognized the driver of the vehicle as someone who they had been in contact with a few hours earlier, and had been drinking. Police stopped the vehicle and spoke to the driver, who had a strong odour of liquor on his breath. A breath sample was obtained on an approved screening device, which registered a fail. The driver was issued a 90-day driving prohibition and the vehicle was impounded under the provisions of the Motor Vehicle Act.

April 22; Manson Avenue, 5700 block
At approximately 2:19 pm, police received a mischief report.  Someone had slashed a tire on a vehicle parked at that location.

April 24; Powell Place, 6200 block
At approximately 6:58 am, police received another report of slashed tires. Sometime between 10:30 pm on April 23 and 6:30 am on April 24, a vehicle parked in that location had all four of the tires slashed.
