City of Powell River Council has authorized salary ranges for the new fire chief and chief administrative officer positions.
At the June 1 city council meeting, mayor Ron Woznow read a rise and report from the May 18, closed council meeting. Woznow said council resolved that, due to changing economic conditions and an increasingly competitive labour market, the annual salary range for fire chief be advertised at $155,000 to $175,000.
The annual salary range for the chief administrative officer position was decided to be advertised at $200,000 to $220,000.
