Powell River RCMP report on CounterAttack campaign kickoff

The local Holiday CounterAttack Campaign targeting impaired driving kicked off on Saturday, December 3, when Powell River RCMP conducted a road block and stopped approximately 50 vehicles.

Police issued two violation tickets and one notice and order under the Motor Vehicle Act. No drivers were found to be impaired during the roadblock.

The campaign will continue throughout December. Police are urging residents to arrange for a safe ride home if your holiday parties involve alcohol.
