Approval has been given by qathet Regional District for its annual statement of financial information (SOFI) for 2018.
At a board meeting on Thursday, June 27, directors approved the SOFI report, which outlines the regional district’s schedule of guarantee and indemnity agreements, a schedule of debts, a schedule of board remuneration, a schedule of employee remuneration, a schedule of payments to suppliers and the 2018 audited financial statements.
In terms of the schedule of remuneration and expenses, 24 board members and alternate board members were listed with expenses. Total remuneration came to $132,595.06, with expenses of $33,190.04.
Nine employees earning more than $75,000 were listed in the SOFI report. Total remuneration for those individuals was $912,491.62, with expenses of $32,653.08. The consolidated total of other employees with remuneration of less than $75,000 was $1,159,022.82, with expenses of $66,444.08.
There were 47 suppliers paid $25,000 or more in 2018, totalling $5,617,785.56. The amount paid to suppliers of $25,000 or less was $1,684,176.14.
