Program partner
qathet Regional District directors voted to contribute $2,500 toward the BC Provincial Nominee Program’sregional pilot for entrepreneur immigration at the regional board’s Monday, March 25, meeting. The board also voted to partner with City of Powell River on the program and for staff to bring back a report regarding target sectors.
Boat program
The qathet Regional District board voted to partner with the Dead Boat Disposal Society regarding abandoned boats within the regional district area.
Septic system
The board has approved installation of a new septic system at Palm Beach Regional Park. The septic system will include the installation of a grey water hookup for a portable dishwasher station at the park. The regional district has also approved the purchase of a portable grey water holding tank to be used with the dishwashing trailer.
