Fire hall contract
Powell River Regional District has given Agius Builders a letter of intent for the construction of a new Northside Volunteer Fire Department fire hall. The work generally consists of the design and construction of a four-bay prefabricated steel fire hall building, approximately 5,900 square feet, at 8540 Plummer Creek Road.
Contract finalization negotiations began with Agius Builders on December 21, 2011. The letter of intent allows the company to begin design work to finalize details prior to signing a contract. This process is expected to be completed by the end of January. The contract amount will be approximately $800,000 and the construction period is expected to be about six months.
