Board meets at schools
Powell River Board of Education has resumed holding its public monthly meetings at schools around the district to help increase communication and transparency with School District 47 staff, parents and the community. The board’s January 21 meeting was held in the library at Edgehill Elementary School. Trustees visited classrooms and met with teachers and administrators during the afternoon and then conducted the meeting after school. Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of the month. The next meeting is scheduled for February 18 at Kelly Creek Community School.
