Kierra Jones is a third-year journalism student at Carleton University in Ottawa. She has joined the Peak team this summer as a student reporter.
Born and raised in Powell River, Jones has spent her whole life enjoying the beautiful beaches, lakes and mountains the area has to offer.
When not at work, Jones can be found practicing her French, lazing away at the beach or perfecting her vegan cooking. She also enjoys burying her nose in a good book.
Jones is excited to be back in Powell River and hopes working as a reporter will give her a different perspective on the city she grew up in.
