IN RECOGNITION: Joseph Lionel Desilets, who will be 100 in February, attended the Remembrance Day ceremony at the cenotaph at Dwight Hall in Townsite on November 11.
He was a radio operator in the Second World War and was the oldest veteran to attend this year’s Remembrance Day ceremony.
The service this year was abbreviated from a typical Remembrance Day ceremony due to COVID-19, with a select few able to gather around the cenotaph.
