The debate will be broadcast live tonight, 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. It will feature Green Party Leader Sonia Furstenau, NDP Leader John Horgan and Liberal Leader Andrew Wilkinson. Shachi Kurl, president of the non-profit opinion-research group Angus Reid Institute, will be the moderator.
A media consortium is broadcasting the debate; it includes CHEK, CBC, CTV, Global B.C., CityTV and CPAC.
There will not be a studio audience. Citing pandemic safety, the consortium isn’t revealing the location of the debate in an effort to limit the number of people who attend. The leaders and moderator will attend in person.
After the debate, at 8 p.m., CHEK TV will broadcast #BCPoli Live. Joe Perkins of CHEK hosts the show, which will feature analysis from Rob Shaw of the Vancouver Sun and Amy Smart of the Canadian Press.
It will close with a commentary by Jack Knox of the Times Colonist, in a segment entitled You Don’t Know Jack.
