Jackie passed gracefully after a brief stay at qathet General Hospital in Powell River. She was predeceased by the love of her life Douglas Campbell; his eldest daughter Elyra Campbell; Rudi Lange and Conrad Lange.

Gramma J is survived by her loving family, Wendy Dawson (Campbell) stepdaughter (Jim Kowbel); grandchildren Jacqueline Fortin (Jesse and Jordan) and great-great-granddaughter Ella; Ryan Dawson (Vanessa) (Rebekah and Joshua); and Kanina Leduc (Alexandria).

Jackie will be deeply missed by many close friends: Natalie Cade (Dakotah (Kendall) (Jadeyn and Jack) and Dustin (Emily), Thomas Coe (Teresa and Brent), Karen May of the Texada Island United Church, Faye Lange (Ron), (Lisa (Brent) and Andy (Leah), Heather Dyble and of course the beautiful people of Myrtle Avenue, a place Jackie lovingly called home for more years than we could count.

Jackie was a pioneer in the mental health field, a teacher and mentor for countless nursing students and longstanding administrator for the Olive Devaud Residence. Most of all, Jackie had a presence about her, a feeling of security and strength - she possessed a rare quality that just was.

A service will be held at 2 pm on August 12, 2023, at Powell River United Church, with a celebration of life at 3 pm at PRUC Trinity Hall.
